_ Lynn Loacker moved to Portland in 1984 and immediately became a philanthropic presence in the local community. She initially served as a volunteer for the Nature Conservancy and the Oregon Zoo where she was a docent and worked in the Bird of Prey Program. She became a member of the Volunteer Council, and was later elected to the Zoo Board. She served on the Executive and Nominating Committees on the Zoo Board for three years.
Lynn has also been a member of a myriad of other committees including but not limited to: The Oregon Symphony Board, Shikar Safari Club International (first woman member!), Women in Philanthropy, Franz Cancer Leadership Cabinet, Portland Parks Leadership Council, Providence Capital Campaign, Campaign Strategic Oversight Committee, and the Oregon Community Foundation.
Lynn and her husband, Jack, are also partners and owners of Adelsheim Vineyard in Newberg, Oregon. They became partners with David and Ginny Adelsheim in 1994 and have two vineyards of their own.
While Lynn and Jack do not have any children, they do have three Golden Retrievers: Maggie , Elli and Oakley, who suffice as children.
