“The best singer in Portland.” – Marty Hughly, The Oregonian
Linda Hornbuckle, who has also been referred to as the ‘Diva of Soul,’ has been performing for audiences since she was six-years-old singing at the Grace & Truth Pentecostal Church. Throughout her vocal career, Linda has toured and recorded with Nation recording artists Quarterflash, Nu Shooz and Dan Reed, and opened for many other popular bands in the U.S. In the early 1990’s, she was the lead vocalist for Motown Revue Band, and in 1995, Linda formed the Blues act Linda Hornbuckle & The No Delay Band. Since then, Linda has created her own solo act, Linda Hornbuckle, and continues to delight audiences across the Northwest.
While Linda can move audiences both emotionally and spiritually with her voice, she is also dedicated to her community. She is currently the African American Community Health Specialist for Multnomah County Health Department working on grant related projects in partnership with the Community Capacitation Center. Linda also volunteers her time at Grace & Truth Church as the Girls Leadership Peace Program Director and as an Ambassador for the Go Red for Women American Heart Association Campaign.
